History with STARS

STARS air ambulance

ConocoPhillips recently reached a new milestone in our history with STARS. We have donated $2 million in cumulative giving for the air ambulance service. We have a strong commitment to safety and supporting the air ambulance service that flies in all our areas of operation makes perfect sense. In fact, one of our own, Sid Rothlisberger, a Deep Basin operator, was saved by STARS after a serious injury in 2011. The incident inspired our Grand Prairie employees to give back by organizing yearly fundraising golf tournament for STARS.

The 2013 ConocoPhillips Canada Golf Tournament took place on June 22, with beautiful weather and enthusiastic participants making the event a success. And this year was also Sid’s year to give back. After winning a helicopter ride at the STARS Hanger Dance, he donated his prize to the tournament, raising $2,500. In total, the tournament raised $38,427 – a new record!
