Local Helicopter Emergency Response Organization Foundation (HERO)

At ConocoPhillips Canada, we are proud to support Local Helicopter Emergency Response Organization (HERO) Foundation. Local HERO Foundation exists to promote and deliver 24/7 emergency helicopter services for the people of northeastern Alberta. Using elite aircraft, technologies and aviation practices they enable emergency personnel to respond quickly to medical emergencies, search and rescue, law enforcement and environmental damage. We are pleased to support this foundation which aligns with our company's SPIRIT values and supports communities in Northeastern Alberta, where many of our staff live and work.

STARS Air Ambulance

Keeping our people safe is a top priority in everything we do and knowing emergency medical services are a call away if needed provides tremendous peace of mind. CPC has been a supporter of STARS Air Ambulance since 1989, providing more than $3 million in funding. Our support for STARS aligns with our SPIRIT values, particularly safety and people. As a company, we will not be satisfied until we have zero injuries, occupational illnesses or serious incidents in our work. In the meantime, accidents can happen, and when they do, we count on STARS to be there. Having STARS close by not only benefits ConocoPhillips, it also benefits every person living in the surrounding communities – whether that's Calgary or Fort St. John.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving

We are proud to support Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s (MADD) School Assembly Program, which educates students on the importance of safe driving, along with the devastating impacts of driving while under the influence. Our support has helped run the program in schools in northeast British Columbia near our Montney development and in Fort McMurray, Alberta near our Surmont oil sands joint venture. Annually, one million students from grades 7 to 12 in 2,000 schools across Canada benefit from this program.

City of Calgary Fire Department – Safety Education Program

Since 2007, we have collaborated with the City of Calgary Fire Department to support their Safety Education Program. As part of our support, we participate in the Fire Safety Trailer program, a mobile classroom that travels around Calgary to teach citizens about fire safety. The trailer is brought to schools and community events, where participants can safely experience a fire situation. We also provide financial support for the development and translation of multilingual educational materials, such as brochures, posters, web copy, social media posts, and videos to help promote public and fire safety messaging.
