Every year, ConocoPhillips staff and their families donate their time and treasure to support communities across Canada and people around the world. And 2016 was no exception.
Last year, ConocoPhillips staff volunteered over 17,000 hours… that adds up to more than 708 days or almost two years! That time was spent in a variety of ways, including serving food to the homeless, cleaning up playgrounds and helping children learn how to read. Many volunteers devoted over 40 hours to a local charity, and they had their passion rewarded with a $500 donation to the organization through the ConocoPhillips Valuing Volunteers Fund.
On top of their volunteer efforts, ConocoPhillips employees donated $661,305 to charities in 2016. With the addition of the donations made through the ConocoPhillips Employee Matching Gift Program, more than $864,218 was donated to support those who need it most.
Here’s to an even more successful 2017.
