Valuing Volunteers Fund
CPC recognizes that many local community organizations are benefiting from the volunteer energy and expertise donated by our employees. This fund is open to all permanent employees and their partners who are actively involved with a non-profit organization on their own time. Qualifying organizations are those which exist for the benefit of others in the community. The Volunteer Service Fund will grant up to $500 each calendar year to the organization on behalf of the ConocoPhillips Canada employee.
Employee Education Match Program
ConocoPhillips recognizes the importance of supporting universities and colleges to help them maintain educational programs and research. In addition to other charitable gifts made to post secondary institutions, we also support and Employee Education Match Program. If an employee chooses to personally donate to an eligible school, the company will make a matching donation to that same school, up to a value of $2000.
United Way of Calgary and Area
CPC sponsors a strong annual United Way campaign that includes awareness and fundraising events and provides staff volunteer opportunities. CPC employees have the option to donate funds to United Way, or to direct funds to their charity of choice (does not have to be United Way funded) through United Way using its pledge form. CPC then matches the employee’s dollars, effectively doubling the financial support to United Way or to the employee’s chosen charity.
