About

ConocoPhillips Canada early morning risers helped cheer on 120 children as they embarked on the trip of a lifetime to Universal Studios with Dreams Take Flight on
November 7th.

After a (presumably!) large cup of coffee, ConocoPhillips volunteers made their way to the Calgary International Airport at 4:00 a.m. to help the young travelers navigate their way through the morning as they got ready to board their flight.

“What an incredible experience to see the smiles on the children’s faces before heading off on the adventure of a lifetime,” says Billie Korsunskiy, vice president of Corporate Services for ConocoPhillips Canada, who was at the airport to see the children off.

Travelers included well deserving children ages 11-14 who were chosen by various Calgary agencies for this one-day vacation with Dreams Take Flight Calgary.

At the end of a busy and exciting day, the kids boarded a flight back to Calgary where they were reunited with their families in the wee hours of the following morning.

A valued relationship

ConocoPhillips Canada has been a supporter of Dreams Take Flight since 2009 and seeing the children off from the Calgary International Airport has become a tradition for our staff volunteers. Dreams Take Flight is a national non-profit charity that provides children who have special needs with a free trip to Los Angeles. This year they visited Universal Studios.
