Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainable Development
Darryl Hass is vice president, Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainable Development for ConocoPhillips Canada.
A professional engineer with 30 years experience, Hass began his career with Alberta’s Energy Resources Conservation Board, working with field operations, drilling and production, oil sands and environment protection. He moved on to manage field projects for an environmental services company and then to lead environmental issues for the drilling group for PanCanadian Petroleum. In 1997, Hass joined Anadarko Canada, spending nine years there as the manager of Health, Safety and Environment. In this role, he focused on achieving operational excellence combined with a practical approach to safety management.
Hass joined ConocoPhillips Canada in 2006 as the general manager, Health, Safety and Environment then vice president, Health, Safety and Environment Operations. With his support and guidance, the ConocoPhillips Canada Operations team continues to achieve substantial improvements in safety performance. He advanced to his current role in 2017.
Hass earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in 1985.
