Staff volunteers dropped off 129 boxes of home essentials, clothes, gift cards and toys, valued at $24,355, for deserving families to open on Christmas morning.

"Every year I look forward to delivering gifts to the families at Sonshine," says Jodi Dobry, executive assistant, who organized this volunteer initiative. "Delivering these Christmas gifts is important for many of our volunteers. They're able to see first-hand the difference they're making and the important role our SPIRIT of Christmas program plays in giving back to the community."

Not only did staff work within their teams to give back, but many groups hosted fundraisers throughout the year to help raise money for this great cause. Delicious bake sales, a waffle breakfast and a Chili Cook-off were held in support of Sonshine Community Services.

With all of this fundraising, ConocoPhillips staff were able to provide Sonshine with: holiday gifts for the families and women living in the shelter, "Santa gifts" for children that don't live in the shelter but use its services, the Sonshine Christmas eve dinner, and a donation that will go towards purchasing eggs and milk for the shelter.

Happy holidays!
